Growing up on Long Island in the 1950's and 60's was very different than it is today. I had opportunities for long days of play outdoors with neighborhood children, which not only was good health wise, but also helped me decide, at the age of seven, that I wanted to be an artist. I was always better at drawing than my peers and so, at an early age became "The Artist".
I went to Buffalo State College, where I spent a semester in Italy studying Italian art and architecture. In 1979, I studied Textile Design at FIT, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Today, I live with my husband and two daughters in Bellmore, Long Island. My work is in a number of private collections, and I exhibit locally. I teach drawing, acrylic, and watercolor painting. I teach crafts and do decorative art. |
