Lorraine has received numerous prestigious awards and recognitions for her portraits, nature studies and abstract paintings in oil, watercolour and pastel. Her paintings reside in collections in England, France and the USA.
My strongest wish is to have unity in and with my work--so much so that if even a tiny part of my image isn’t in agreement with the whole, I can sense it, change it and seamlessly complete the painting. When it works, it gives me the amazing sensation that the piece of art has mysteriously created itself. more
I am fascinated by the nuances of human (and animal) facial expressions. I aim for evocative images that cause the viewer to create his or her own story about them. I enjoy the spontaneity of photography. Exhibits include the Open Center in NYC and the B.J. Spoke Gallery in Huntington, NY.more
